Advantages of Joining Our Team

Lori O.

Electronics Technician II

20 Years

In my 20 years, I’ve seen a lot of positive changes here, including many upgrades in equipment, tools, and supplies. These upgrades have impacted our ergonomic health, safety, and efficiency of our workload.

I’m excited that I belong to a company that promotes and supports work life balance by offering generous paid time off, along with a team atmosphere that organizes special employee events such as picnics, bowling, and social gathering. iAutomation also encourages a day off for volunteering for your favorite organization and supports community projects like food and coat drives, back to school, Toys for Tots, to name a few. These are all organized through employee led committees. We have Fun Events, Community Outreach, Health and Wellness, and more committees.

I have been blessed to have had my position here evolve into a more helpful role by being part of the training process, and job setup, along with creating sequences, which simplifies the wiring during panel building, and project build procedures that have been helpful with time, accuracy, and consistency in our panel building process.

In all, iAutomation is a great atmosphere, clean, quiet, with a good group of people, both helpful and friendly. I like and appreciate the work we do, and I look forward to many years ahead!

2nd Shift Team Lead

3 Years

I’ve been with iAutomation for about three years. This was only my second job in the electrical field after trade school, and from the moment I walked into the interview, I noticed the company culture was different from what I had experienced before. The people genuinely enjoyed their work and the team they worked with. I accepted the position as soon as it was offered, and since then, through hard work, I’ve been given many opportunities to grow and develop my career within the company.

I am now the team lead of the second shift, which has given me a great introduction to leadership experience with a team that is constantly striving for quality work. Becoming a team lead has challenged me to grow and develop new skills I didn’t know I had, and I appreciate the company recognizing potential and trusting me with this opportunity.

Through the ups and downs, I can honestly say there’s no place I’d rather work. The strong culture, great benefits, and commitment to learning and development are what truly make iAutomation a great company.

NetSuite Data Analyst

5 years

My overall experience at iAutomation has been extremely positive and rewarding. I joined the company in February 2021 as a temporary employee working on the production floor building assemblies in the general cell. What initially attracted me to iAutomation was the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while continuing my education and being part of a growing organization.

From early on, the company culture stood out to me. While I was still in school, my manager at the time, Christopher, was always flexible and supportive when I needed to leave early for classes or school-related commitments. That support made a big difference and showed me that iAutomation truly values its employees as individuals, not just workers.

After graduating in 2022, I was given the opportunity to grow into a new role in Finance. I worked as a Junior Finance Analyst for two years, where I developed professionally with the guidance of Jonathan and Nicholas. During that time, they recognized my strengths and interest in working with our ERP system, which led to another opportunity for growth.

I was then promoted to my current role as a NetSuite Data Analyst, working closely with Josh and Mark. This role has been challenging in the best way, as it introduced me to a completely new side of the business involving data, systems, and problem-solving. It has allowed me to expand my skill set and continue learning every day.

Some of my personal accomplishments include successfully transitioning across multiple departments, adapting to new responsibilities, and becoming a key support resource for data and ERP-related needs. A lesson I’ve learned throughout my journey is that iAutomation genuinely invests in its people, the company provides opportunities to grow. Everyone I’ve worked with has been supportive, helpful, and kind, and that has made my experience here both meaningful and motivating.

Account Manager

7 Years

I've been at iAutomation for just under 7 years and it has been an incredible experience for my career. Initially, I was attracted to the company through referrals out of college, but immediately fell in love with the industrial automation industry. We are always at the forefront of technology being released, whether it is presenting new technology from our manufacturing partners, or working with strategic customers to release cutting-edge technology to the marketplace.

iAutomation has a culture of growth from within. We are constantly looking at ways to award hard-working employees through internal promotion and other incentive programs. I, myself, have been in 4 different roles within iAutomation and each one has been an internal promotion, which I'm incredibly grateful for.

I feel that I have positively impacted the iAutomation team by broadening my experience working with a number of different departments within the company, so that I can continue to present new and fresh ideas to make internal processes more efficient and more customer-focused. I also try to be a positive influence on culture, keeping things light and fun with the rest of my teammates.

I have so many memories with so many different colleagues at iAutomation, but one that stands out to me is driving 8 hours in a car rental with Rich B, and two folks from one of our strategic customers to validate a potential supplier. What I originally thought would be an intimidating 8 hour meeting with a customer turned into just a road trip through the middle-of-nowhere Pennsylvania with friends.

My time with iAutomation has been great thus-far and I'm excited to see what is in store for the years ahead.

Manufacturing Engineer

20 Years

I’ve been with iAutomation for nearly 20 years, starting while I was still in school. A few friends were already working here, and for my senior project, iAutomation donated materials to help me out. This led to an interview and a position as a Mechanical Designer.
Since then, I’ve evolved through several roles, including leading our extrusion assembly shop. Currently, I’m part of the Manufacturing Engineering team and also help manage Facilities and Maintenance. The variety of work keeps me here; I thrive on different challenges, and this job delivers that daily. I’ve also built strong relationships with many colleagues, and those friendships have lasted through the years.

I’ve been involved in nearly every aspect of production, from aluminum extrusion framing and pneumatics to CNC, control panel building, vision systems, and hydraulics. In my current role, I focus on designing and implementing tools, fixtures, and equipment that help our nearly 125-person panel shop run smoothly and efficiently. I also explore and integrate new technologies to improve our processes.

One of my proudest projects was moving into our new facility. I was part of a small team that transformed the space from the ground up — laying out the shop floor, designing the warehouse, selecting equipment, and creating a showpiece for our customers. This building represents a major upgrade for iAutomation, and we continue to enhance it every day.

The culture here is fast-paced yet relaxed. You get out what you put into it; if you’re motivated by solving problems and improving systems, there’s always something interesting to work on. This company has provided me the space to grow, learn, and make a lasting impact. I’m proud of what we’ve built and excited to keep building.
