I’ve been with iAutomation for nearly 20 years, starting while I was still in school. A few friends were already working here, and for my senior project, iAutomation donated materials to help me out. This led to an interview and a position as a Mechanical Designer.
Since then, I’ve evolved through several roles, including leading our extrusion assembly shop. Currently, I’m part of the Manufacturing Engineering team and also help manage Facilities and Maintenance. The variety of work keeps me here; I thrive on different challenges, and this job delivers that daily. I’ve also built strong relationships with many colleagues, and those friendships have lasted through the years.

I’ve been involved in nearly every aspect of production, from aluminum extrusion framing and pneumatics to CNC, control panel building, vision systems, and hydraulics. In my current role, I focus on designing and implementing tools, fixtures, and equipment that help our nearly 125-person panel shop run smoothly and efficiently. I also explore and integrate new technologies to improve our processes.

One of my proudest projects was moving into our new facility. I was part of a small team that transformed the space from the ground up — laying out the shop floor, designing the warehouse, selecting equipment, and creating a showpiece for our customers. This building represents a major upgrade for iAutomation, and we continue to enhance it every day.

The culture here is fast-paced yet relaxed. You get out what you put into it; if you’re motivated by solving problems and improving systems, there’s always something interesting to work on. This company has provided me the space to grow, learn, and make a lasting impact. I’m proud of what we’ve built and excited to keep building.
